Light Upon Light was founded by the denial of a simple cup of tea - a small moment that sparked a legacy. As a differently-abled woman who belongs to the very community she is fighting for, I lead Light Upon Light with lived experience and a deep belief in dignity, belonging, accessibility, and equality. Our mission shines through four rays (pillars) of Light:
Advocacy - uplifting differently-abled voices and making sure the world truly sees and understands who differently-abled individuals are.
Accessibility - making public spaces inclusive and ADA accessible.
Education - teaching K-12 schools and communities about differently-abled individuals.
Equality - building a world where every person is treated fairly and given the same opportunities. We're creating a community and a space in this world where dignity is honored and belonging is expected. Rest assured that, at Light Upon Light, every human being is deserving of - and will receive - a cup of tea.
